Something of a late starter in the X-Trial World Championship, Matteo Grattarola is only now entering his eighth season at the age of 36.  A massive improvement in his performances after signing for Beta in 2020 is the mean reason for his late-career renaissance that saw him make the podium in both Nice and Barcelona in 2022.  A subsequent move to Vertigo proved ill-fated and short-lived, and he rounded out the 2023 season at the bottom of the Standings but back with Beta.
