Takahisa Fujinami will reach 40 years of age during the 2020 X-Trial World Championship season, but the veteran from Japan remains among the discipline’s most entertaining riders. His spectacular style regularly gets the fans out of their seats, as he puts on a real show in every ride. In 2019 he made three appearances, saving his best until last with a fourth-place result at X-Trial Andorra. Although he has a total of 36 podium finishes to his name, his sole X-Trial victory dates back to Koblenz in 2004. With 139 starts, no rider has appeared in more X-Trial events than Fujinami.
