Record pace in Budapest

X-Trial Budapest will see as many as two all-time X-Trial World Championship records change hands

The final round of the new era in the FIM X-Trial World Championship, taking place on 29th March in Budapest, will be a record-breaking night for the sport with two records set to fall.

Having secured last time out in Paris the runner-up position for the 2018 campaign, with a record 103rd career podium, Adam Raga may be top of another all-time leaderboard after X-Trial Budapest.  He is now just seven points short of Dougie Lampkin´s career points haul of 2030, meaning that a nine point score for fourth position in the Hungarian capital would be enough to make him the highest point scorer in the history of the sport.

Meanwhile another of Lampkin´s records will fall to Takahisa Fujinami (Repsol Montesa Honda).  The Japanese veteran, who returned to the podium for the first time since 2013 with a third place finish in Paris, also equalled the all-time appearance record with his ride at the AccorHotels Arena.  With his result having secured him an automatic qualification position to participate in Budapest, the Japanese rider will move onto a 136th appearance and add an incredible record to his illustrious career.
