Gelabert with the RTL Electric, Arnau Farré and Hugo Dufrese will join the Championship Top 5 at the Palau Sant Jordi
The Barcelona X-Trial, to be held next Sunday, February 8, at the Palau Sant Jordi starting at 5:00 p.m. (local time), will feature a major highlight: the debut in the FIM X-Trial World Championship of the Honda RTL Electric, ridden by Miquel Gelabert. This will mark Gelabert’s fifth appearance at the Barcelona event, his last participation having been in 2021.
Alongside the Honda Montesa rider will be Arnau Farré (Sherco), who returns to the event where, in 2018 at the age of 19, he suffered a serious injury. Farré already competed this season in Madrid, where he reached the final and finished in fourth place.
Hugo Dufrese (Beta) completes the trio joining the five leading riders in the FIM X-Trial World Championship standings. The French rider has taken part this season in the rounds of Saint-Denis and Leeds.
Toni Bou (Repsol Honda Trial Team) leads the Top 5, followed by his teammate Gabriel Marcelli (Repsol Honda Trial Team), Jaime Busto (GasGas), Harry Hemingway (Beta) and Matteo Grattarola (Beta). All of them share the distinction of having stepped onto the podium during the 2026 season.
In addition, the competitors in the Women’s Trophy will be Spain’s reigning world champion Berta Abellán (Scorpa), current world vice-champion Andrea Sofia Rabino (Beta), world number three Denisa Pechackova (TRRS), and the British riders Alice Minta (Beta) and Kaytlyn Adshead (Sherco), who will be making her debut.
