The nine protagonists for the French Round of the FIM X-Trial World Championship have been confirmed
The return of X-Trial Marseille to the World Championship calendar in 2019 a first call-up of the season for French rider Alexandre Ferrer (Sherco), who comes in as the event’s Wild Card.
Ferrer took park in last season’s rounds in Montpellier, Paris and Budapest, with a seventh place in Montpellier his best result.
Ferrer joins the Championship´s five permanent riders - Toni Bou, Adam Raga, Jaime Busto, Miquel Gelabert and home hero Benoit Bincaz. The remaining nominated positions to go Luca Petrella (Beta), who returns after appearances in Barcelona and Bilbao, and Sondre Haga (TRRS), who has ridden in the last two X-Trials back-to-back.
As top event rider from X-Trial Granada, Jeroni Fajardo earns automatic qualification to X-Trial Marseille. Fajardo has appeared in all four rounds so far and ranks fifth in the World Championship classification, his best result to date a third place in the season opener in Budapest.
