The FIM X-Trial World Championship is getting ready for a return to action in October
The second half of the FIM X-Trial World Championship opens on 7th October with the fourth staging of X-Trial Andorra la Vella, followed by visits to Madrid and Vendée to close the calendar.
The 2023 campaign launched all the way back in February and comprises seven events including X-Trial Barcelona, Wiener Neustadt, Pamplona and Bordeaux which all took place before the summer break.
Toni Bou (Repsol Honda Trial Team) has won three of those four completed thus far and opened a 20-point Championship lead over closest rival Jaime Busto (GasGas) who beat Bou to win in Austria five months ago. Gabriel Marcelli (Repsol Honda Trial Team) sits 33 points back from his teammate and series leader Bou, with Adam Raga (TRRS) just a single point behind in the battle for bronze – each of Marcelli and Raga have taken two podium finishes, while Bou and Busto are yet to drop from the rostrum places.
The first stage of the season introduced two new cities, with the inaugural X-Trial Pamplona and Bordeaux. Now the series heads to more familiar territory, guaranteeing an enthusiastic fanbase for the winter run-in. Competition re-starts with X-Trial Andorra la Vella, and tickets are already available at https://tickets.x-trial.com/andorra .
