The World Championship arrives to Madrid for its second stop

The event in Spain's capital returns to the Madrid Arena with Bou leading the standings and Busto as the most recent winner of this round

The Madrid Arena will once again be dressed next Saturday to welcome the world’s best X-Trial riders from 6:00 PM (local time) and host the second round of the season after the opener in Andorra la Vella.

Toni Bou (Repsol Honda Trial Team) arrives at the modern and functional Casa de Campo venue as the Championship leader, fully readjusting his riding style to manage the injury in the tendons of his right shoulder. Since Madrid’s return to the World Championship calendar, Bou has achieved two wins (2022 and 2023 seasons). The winner of the last edition was Jaime Busto (GasGas), who comes off a third-place finish in Andorra la Vella after a spectacular and painful fall in Q1.

The provisional second place in the Championship standings belongs to Gabriel Marcelli (Repsol Honda Trial Team), who has achieved two second-place finishes in Spain’s capital, although last year he missed the podium by finishing fifth.

Meanwhile, the younger riders will push hard, aiming to confirm the shape and performance showed in the first round of the season. Harry Hemingway (Beta) will continue seeking the podium that eluded him in the tiebreak with Busto in Andorra la Vella, and Francesco Titli (TRRS) wants to reach the final, which narrowly escaped him in the Andorran capital. Additionally, the veterans and always Top-4 contenders Matteo Grattarola (Beta) and Benoit Bincaz (Electric Motion) join Arnau Farré (Sherco), who competes in his first event of the year and last season reached the final in his only Championship start in Cahors after topping Q1.

The high level of all the riders will combine with the spectacular and highly demanding Madrid sections and the stands expected to be full of fans enjoying the world’s best indoor motorsport competition.
