Pamplona ready to close the campaign

The Navarra Arena will be the deciding venue in the battle for silver

X-Trial Navarra gets underway this Saturday from 18:00.  For the second time the world’s best visit the city of Pamplona, after the inaugural visit last year received an excellent welcome.

This time the Navarra Arena takes over as host for the final Round of the season, meaning it will settle the silver and bronze medals in a decider between Jaime Busto (GasGas) and Gabriel Marcelli (Repsol Honda Trial Team).  Six points currently separate the pair in Busto’s favour and, following his victory last time out, he also has an even greater advantage once the dropped Round regulation is taken into account.

Marcelli may well thus need a win of his own in Pamplona, and it is his teammate Toni Bou who could prove the stumbling block there.  Although Bou has already wrapped up his eighteenth world title, he will be doing everything in his power to return to the top after his shock elimination before the Final at X-Trial Tallinn three weeks ago.   Meanwhile there is additional interest in the podium battle with contenders Benoit Bincaz (Sherco), who finished third in the Estonian capital, and Toby Martyn (Montesa), who made the rostrum in Geneva and makes his return here.

Meanwhile Adam Raga (Sherco) is chasing his Grand Final of 2024, having been on the podium at least once every previous year since 2002.

Completing the field will be Miquel Gelabert (Vertigo) and Sondre Haga (GasGas), the latter of whom will be looking to show the efficiency and performance of the electric TXE GP.
