Bou arrives in Italy as the Championship leader, with Busto and Marcelli close behind as the first half of the season comes to an end
The FIM X-Trial World Championship will conclude its first half — and close out the year 2025 — at the Palazzetto Dello Sport in Ponte di Legno on December 12th and 13th, with two rounds held on two consecutive days, something unprecedented in the history of the competition.
Toni Bou (Repsol Honda Trial Team) arrives at this event with an 11-point advantage over Jaime Busto (GasGas) and 13 over his teammate Gabriel Marcelli. The World Champion won the first two rounds of the season and Busto won in Saint-Denis, while Marcelli finished 9 points off the win in Réunion, 6 in Madrid and 7 in Andorra la Vella.
The three riders have filled all podium positions so far, but no one has repeated as the fourth finalist, with Harry Hemingway, Arnau Farré and Hugo Dufresse taking turns in that spot.
This time, Hemingway (Beta) is the only one of the three who could return to the final, although his compatriot Jack Peace (Sherco), who sits 7 points behind him in the standings, will be eager to secure his first Top 4 of the season. Italy’s Matteo Grattarola (Beta) and Francesco Titli (TRRS) will also be aiming for that same result in each of the two rounds — their first chance in many years to compete at a home World Championship event — while Benoit Bincaz (Electric Motion) will have two more opportunities to fight for a podium finish on an electric bike.
After Friday’s round on the 12th, the layout of the sections will undergo changes for Saturday the 13th.
Experience the fourth and fifth rounds of the season as if you were sitting in the stands of the Palasport in Ponte di Legno. Watch the events live or on demand on FIM-MOTO.TV.
