X-Trial Vendée will be the scene of James Dabill and Matteo Grattarola´s first appearances with Beta and Montesa respectively.
James Dabill returns to Beta on a two-year deal having competed with Gas Gas throughout the 2017 X-Trial campaign, finishing in sixth position. The British rider has spent two previous spells with the Italian Brand: from 2005 to 2006, and from 2011 to 2014.
Dabill´s X-Trial career has seen him visit the podium on two occasions; two third position finishes his best results in 37 appearances.
On his latest move back to Beta, he remarks: “I´m happy and enthusiastic about my change of team. It´s always an extra motivation, especially with Beta, because I have spent some great years there and I feel as though I´ve come home. I´m certain that together we can do great things throughout the next two seasons in the X-Trial World Championship.”
Meanwhile Matteo Grattarola also makes the switch from Gas Gas, but finds his new home at Montesa. At 29 years of age, the Italian star has so far taken part in 9 indoor World Championship events, with a best previous result of fifth position.
