Injury to Norway´s Sondre Haga in practice gives Téo Colairo his first X-Trial World Championship chance
No less than three home riders will line up at the Palais des Sports in Saturday´s X-Trial Marseille, as Téo Colairo joins the field for his X-Trial debut. The Frenchman replaces Sondre Haga (TRRS) after the Norwegian injured his shoulder in a practice crash on Wednesday.
22-year-old Colairo, who becomes the sports 100th different participating rider, is one of France´s rising talents who has graduated through the international youth scene and has some experience of indoor events. Runner-up in the FIM Youth 125cc series in 2014, last season Colairo focused on his national Championship in which he finished fifth.
The Gas Gas representative, from the Alpes Maritimes in south-east France, completes a home trio alongside Benoit Bincaz (Beta) and Alexandre Ferrer (Sherco). Bincaz currently ranks fourth in the world, while former World Number Five Ferrer makes his first appearance of the campaign as the Wild Card in Marseille.
