Bou set to celebrate sixteenth world title in Andorra la Vella

X-Trial Andorra la Vella will be the 2022 season finale, with a World Championship celebration for Toni Bou

The X-Trial World Championship reaches its conclusion on 8th October at the Poliesportiu d’Andorra with X-Trial Andorra La Vella, in which the new World Champion Toni Bou will close out the season that has seen him claim his sixteenth world title.  The Repsol Honda Trial Team man considers this his home Round, since he lives in Andorra, and he can count on the support of his family and friends to celebrate yet another title that extends his record and his legend.

The cancellation of the 21st October date, announced by the FIM and ESDEUX, the Championship’s promoter, means that Andorra la Vella will be the destination for the end-of-season party.  But even with his latest world title now a mathematical certainty, Bou arrives in Andorra with an unassailable 30-point lead over Adam Raga (TRRS), he is sure to sign off with a grand show and celebration.

Already the winner of all four X-Trials staged in 2022 – in Nice, Chalon-sur-Saône, Madrid and Barcelona – Bou will be looking to make it an immaculate clean sweep.

The now 16-times X-Trial World Champion explains, “I always say that it is a real shame to cancel a race and this is no exception, I would certainly have liked to complete the full season; during last winter we did a great job in four trials with the team and we were looking forward to the two remaining Rounds.  Now all that remains is to try and win in Andorra in front of my friends and celebrate this title in grand style.”

X-Trial Andorra la Vella is certain to be a party.  Make sure you get your ticket at www.sporticket.es .
