The DNB Arena is a permanent ice hockey venue and hosts the Stavanger Oilers team. But it was designed as a multifunctional venue that as well as sporting events has also held concerts and other shows.
Its various configurations allow a capacity of between 4,500 and 6,000, plus 26 VIP boxes. Its naming rights are held by the prestigious Norwegian bank DNB.
Construction started on 13th May 2011 and the venue opened on 7th October 2012. It has since staged not only the Oilers’ games but also other high-profile sporting events such as the Women’s Handball World Championship in 2023.
