The Anfiteatro Coca-Cola is a part of San José’s Parque VIVA in Costa Rica, located more specifically in Alajuela. With a total area of 300,000m2, including its 20,000m2 training park, it is conceived for a variety of large-scale events. Around the park there are even a further two kilometres of paths.
One of the principle assets of this venue is its lack of walls, although it is covered by a 6,238m2 roof designed to achieve a perfect acoustic for the space despite its unique characteristic. The venue possesses a 24x17 metre stage and can host as many as 17,000 spectators, 7,000 in comfortable seating and 10,000 in the grandstands.
This venue, a reference for the city of San José and the entire country, was inaugurated on 11th April 2015, and a variety of events have since taken place here, from children’s shows to concerts and sporting events.
Performers and bands with notoriety throughout South America and the rest of the globe have appeared on its stage, including Katy Parry, Maluma, Maroon 5, Ariana Grande, Andrea Bocelli, Roberto Carlos and Morat.
